I won't ask you to go anywhere I haven't been willing to go myself

I'm a warm and empathetic Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience in the mental health field, and I'm passionate about partnering with you to support your brain's natural ability to move towards healing through EMDR and Ego State Therapy.

I've sifted through the ashes of my own life in the midst of healers, so I understand how profoundly sacred the therapeutic relationship is. Beginning trauma treatment can be greatly challenging, and it's brave of you to start this journey. I offer a compassionate presence that can hold the depth of your pain and understand the resilience it takes to heal. I'm passionate about providing a space where you feel heard, seen, and supported as you navigate your unique path to recovery.

Why EMDR Intensives?

I specialize in EMDR intensive therapy because I believe healing doesn't have to happen in small increments over years. EMDR intensives allow us to create dedicated, focused time for deep processing—condensing months of traditional therapy into concentrated sessions that honor the urgency of your healing journey. Whether you're noticing patterns in your relationships that keep you stuck, recognizing cycles from your family of origin playing out in your adult life, or you're a fellow healer committed to doing your own deep work, intensives provide the immersive space needed for your nervous system to process and integrate experiences more completely.

In our intensive work together, we'll use EMDR, parts work, yoga, and somatic practices to unlock profound, lasting change—moving you from merely surviving to truly thriving. The intensive format is particularly powerful for those who need breakthrough moments, who've tried traditional therapy without the progress they hoped for, or who simply want to dedicate focused time to their healing without the stop-and-start nature of weekly sessions.

My Approach

I deeply value personal growth, recognizing lived experience as my most profound teacher. I believe that a therapist's effectiveness is rooted in their commitment to their own inner work, which means ethically, I won't invite you to do things I haven't done or walked through myself. It's been through my own experiences of "the other side of the couch" that have given me deep passion and understanding of the sacredness of this work. That passion led me to obtain my Masters degree in Social Work from Texas A&M Commerce and to continue pursuing post-graduate education and training in various trauma-treatment modalities, including becoming EMDR Certified and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant.

My expertise includes EMDR therapy, particularly in addressing relational trauma, attachment wounds, and the patterns that keep us repeating what we most want to change. In my practice, I embrace a holistic approach, considering you within your unique relational history and social context. I integrate elements of yoga, somatic practices, breath work, and auricular acupuncture to support you as needed or requested, enriching our therapeutic experience with mindfulness and body awareness.

When not in the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my son and my wife, Estella, and finding every opportunity possible to engage in play.
